- The UK artist's first tune for the label arrives on August 3rd.
Warp Records has signed the UK artist GAIKA.
The South London visual artist, vocalist and producer has a sound that draws on grime, dancehall, R&B and more besides. He emerged in 2015 with a well-received mixtape called MACHINE, which was followed by a video for his track "Bodhy Knows At 90." Another mixtape, titled SECURITY, surfaced via US label Mixpak in May 2016. Now he's been snapped up by Warp, who will release his latest single, "3D," on August 3rd.
GAIKA has a gig coming up at The Roundhouse in London on August 11th. Warp says the show will be a "special one-off immersive performance which brings the fictional club from SECURITY to life."
