Before the new outlet launches in September, the techno producer will also release an EP via Avian called Six Steps To Resurgence.
Shifted has announced a new EP and sub-label.
The EP, titled Six Steps To Resurgence, comprises three tracks and lands on the UK techno artist's own Avian label on Monday, August 8th. It will be his first solo release on Avian since 2014's two-part Arrangements In Monochrome series. He's remained busy in the meantime, writing an album that's forthcoming on Hospital Productions, and releasing a drone cassette as Alexander Lewis.
The new sub-label, dedicated to Shifted's own material, is called Drifting Over and will fall under the Avian umbrella. Drifting Over EP is up first, due out in September.
In other Avian news, it's been revealed that Pris's Love, Labour, Loss EP will follow Shifted's comeback release. That one's coming on September 26th, and will be Pris's second record for the label this year.
Those in Berlin on Friday, September 23rd will be able to catch a decent chunk of the Avian roster in action at Berghain, where Shifted, SHXCXCHCXSH, Pris, Sigha and Varg & Christian Stadsgaard (who perform together as The Empire Line) play as part of a label showcase.
