  • Roland has purchased V-Moda. V-Moda is an Italian headphone manufacturer, known for its distinctive, fashion-centric design. It has sold 70 percent of its stock to Roland, making the Japanese company the majority stakeholder. The deal was described by Roland as a "strategic investment" rather than a business deal, with both companies set to collaborate on new products, share resources and expertise. According to V-Moda CEO Val Kolton, Roland regards the Crossfade M100 model as the best match to the sound of their drum machines, leading to the decision to cooperate on future products. Watch the CEOs of Roland and V-Moda explain the deal.
