  • The next EP on Mood Hut is from a collaborative group called Music People. The origins of "Music People" go back to spring 2015, when Beautiful Swimmers member Max D flew to Vancouver to spend some time with the Mood Hut cohort. According to the label, "a week of studio haze with various configurations of music people produced 'Always On.'" In addition to Max D, who provided drums and editing work, the sessions also featured both members of the Pender Street Steppers—Liam Butler on bass and Juno synth, Jack Jutson on the Rhodes. Evelyn of Ninja Tune duo Evy Jane provided vocals and further edits, while House Of Doors and Hashman Deejay did additional production work. (4Claudio, who runs the Mood Hut Twitter account and executive produced this year's Disco Mantras album, is credited for "Legal.") The 12-inch also features three versions of "Always On," along with "Four," a collaborative track between House Of Doors, Hashman Deejay, Max D and Pacific Rhythm affiliate Neo Image. Check out clips of all four tracks.
