  • Todd Terje will release four remixes of Holm CPU's "Fotspor" via his Olsen Records on September 9th. The Norwegian disco star has spent 2016 playing live shows with his band, The Olsens, as well as mining older material. He launched the Dansbar series back in May, with an EP that saw him and Prins Thomas retouching Beranek's bizarre 1981 track "Dra Te Hælvete." He followed that one up fairly quickly with an EP of classic disco covers he made with his live band. Now he's back in the Scandinavian crates, taking on Holm CPU's oddball tune "Fotspor," off his 1981 LP for Polydor, .Login. The press release credits that group's leader, Frode Holm, with introducing Oslo to "bell-bottoms, two-tone sofas, prog noodle and wigged out jazz-rock before diving headfirst into Silicon Valley's '80s PC boom." Terje contributes two remixes. Norwegian space disco progenitor Bjørn Torske also steps up for a version. The label says "the ever intrepid Torske takes the reins for the B2, while lesser-known Oslo scenester Bobby Spice rounds out the 12-inch with his take on "Fotspor." There's also a Rune Lindbæk remix available digitally. Listen to the original track.
