  • The first edition of Moga Festival will take place in Essaouira, Morocco, from October 14th through 16th. Those behind the festival say its aim is to "create linkages between different musical scenes, cultures and generations. Moga is a platform that fosters constructive exchange between those involved in the African electronic music scene and their counterparts from around the world." That means the lineup contains a batch of international acts—the likes of Âme, Kode9, Lee Burridge, Ron Morelli, Bella Sarris, Huerco S, DJ Tennis, Culoe De Song, Mind Against and Terekke—alongside locals like Driss Skali, Daox and Secret47. It's happening in and around Essaouira, a UNESCO world heritage listed city on the Moroccan coast that's been used as a backdrop to the TV series Game Of Thrones. In addition to events in the city and its medina, the festival will also use Essaouira's beaches and a nearby forest. Tickets are available here on RA.
