  • Oval's next LP lands in October. It's Markus Popp's first proper solo album since 2013's VOA, and it marks a move into what the German experimentalist calls "club tracks," as Pitchfork reports. "Working on these new 'club tracks' was like going from cucina povera (my 1990s student-budget glitch style) and hi-tech fusion cuisine (post-2010) to feeling like a vegan who just stumbled into a barbecue seminar," Popp says. "However complex and insanely technical my tracks may ever be getting, I will always make sure they sound organic, as if they’re running on nothing but sheer imagination." The LP will come via Popp's relatively new UOVOOO label, which launched earlier this year with the Partura album from French artist Mei. Tracklist 01. Ai 02. Fu 03. Re 04. Ku 05. Sa 06. Lo 07. Id 08. My 09. Mo 10. Ca 11. Ve UOVOOO will release Popp on October 14th, 2016.
