Cut Copy have released a tape of instrumental material called January.
The Australian band recorded January in the middle of a break from recording their next album, the follow-up to 2013's Free Your Mind. "Instead of retreating to the wilderness or decompressing on a beach somewhere," they said, "we spent ten days in the studio making a collection of ambient instrumental works." The tape presents the sessions "in all their unedited glory," 44 minutes of music in all. So far it's only available on tape from the band's merchandise site.
