DJ Marfox and Kamixlo are also in the final lineup announcement.
The final lineup announcement includes Jamaican production duo Equiknoxx, who released an album of eccentric dancehall instrumentals on Demdike Stare's label this summer. DJ Marfox and DJ Nervoso are also booked for an extended set of Afro-Portuguese club rhythms, while Rabih Beaini will present his live audio-visual project based on the films of French director Vincent Moon.
DJ Spank-Spank, who sadly passed away last month, was scheduled to play the festival as a member of the electro trio Phuture. The group will still play, with Angel Alanis filling in. Kamixlo, a founder of the collective Bala Club (who featured in this RA's audio documentary about emerging club sounds), is also on the lineup.
The festival will have a wide-reaching daytime program of talks, presentations, panels and workshops that includes avant-garde musician and renowned engineer Rashad Becker as well as South African gqom producer DJ Lag and Mexican collective NAAFI. Unsound will also screen a documentary about Genesis Breyer P-Orridge's search for the origins of Vodun magic in West Africa, and a Tuareg remake of Prince's Purple Rain, among other films.
The previously announced lineup already included acts like Paula Temple, Lena Willikens and Fred P.
