  • Keita Sano's album for Rett I Fletta will arrive this fall. The young Japanese producer first made waves in the dance music world with a 2014 single for Mister Saturday Night, People Are Changing. He's dropped nearly 20 solo releases since, including a full-length tape for 1080p. Rett I Fletta boss Prins Thomas says he came across Sano's music at a club called Oppa-La in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He caught a live set by Sano that "somehow managed to merge the playfulness of disco with the physical impact of techno." After offering to put out Sano's music, Thomas recalls, "a few days later the album as you hold in front of you, and more or less a replica of that live set, arrived in my inbox." The album was preceded by the Why Not EP, which followed records from Mental Overdrive and Joseph Russell on Rett I Fletta. Track titles for the Keita Sano LP are still forthcoming.
