- The New York producer steps up for the label's next record, Nüshu, out next month.
Infinite Machine is marking 50 releases with a mini-LP from Abyss X.
The New Yorker debuted last year with an EP on Extasis Records, and followed it up last month with a record for Rabit's Halcyon Veil label. Now, with Nüshu, she presents her most substantial release yet. The record is described "a riot piece," and Abyss X says that it's "not here to please the ear—quite the opposite." It features collaborations with NON affiliate VIOLENCE and Brooklyn artist XHOSA.
"The sound was not designed to be digestible," she says. "Despite its futuristic nature it doesn't fall into the slick production and sound norm of the 'future club' genre."
