The London nightclub, closed since August, says most of its employees have taken redundancy payments.
London's
fabric
has cut staff numbers as it remains shut ahead of next month's
court appeal
to reopen. "It has been a very sad two weeks where we have unfortunately had to allow most of our staff to take redundancy and revert to a small manageable team," wrote managing director Gary Kilbey in the club's latest
transparency statement
. "We thank all of those loyal staff and wish them well in their career choices." The club, which has been closed since August, is awaiting a November 28th court date to challenge Islington council's decision to revoke its license. In addition to appealing the decision, fabric also plans to push for changes to the UK's Licensing Act.
