  • Tokyo house producer Shinichiro Yokota has an album called Do It Again And Again due out through Soichi Terada's Far East Recording label. Yokota and Terada are longtime friends and collaborators, and Yokota has said it was Terada who introduced him to house music and synthesizers nearly three decades ago. Both have drawn increasing attention in recent years, though Yokota's solo output has been much leaner in comparison. He might be best known for the classic track "Do It Again," released on Far East in 1992. Do It Again And Again, coming out on 14-track CD in late November, is Yokota's first full-length, and we're told it's been "27 years in the making." Stefan Betke, AKA Pole, took care of mastering (he did the same for the Sounds From The Far East compilation last year on Rush Hour). Text on the back of the CD says the music was inspired by "synthesizers, cars and ways to survive in South Tokyo." Ahead of its release, both Yokota and Terada (performing under his chiptune alias Omodaka) are booked in Tokyo for a DDDD daytime party at Akihabara Cypher on Saturday the 19th. Perceptive fans might recognize some of Do It Again And Again's titles from elsewhere, like Terada's RA podcast last spring, as well as Yokota's SoundCloud page. In June he shared this mix, which appears to feature lots of material (or at least versions) from the album.
