- The Hague producer's Don't Get Me Wrong EP will arrive in early December.
The next release on Music From Memory's Second Circle offshoot is DAZION's Don't Get Me Wrong EP.
Due out in early December, the four-track EP follows Tornado Wallace's Falling Sun as the second release on the Amsterdam label for 2016. DAZION is Cris Kuhlen, a producer based in The Hague who has a "deep love for goofy rhythm boxes and mid-'80s forgotten synths," according to Music From Memory. The EP features two collaborators: Ebou Gaye Mada, who sings and plays percussion on "Be A Man," and Ljubiša Arsenovic (Paya), who sings on "Dancing In The Future."
Kuhlen says he "was blown away" by Ebou Gaye Mada's voice and percussive skills after seeing him perform live. "It seemed like a great idea to see if he wanted to do a vocal and drum part on 'Be A Man,'" he says. "He was really cool about it. Before I knew it, he was travelling from Germany by bus and then standing next to me, in the recording studio, with this cool little drum he brought with him."
Listen to "Be A Man."
