  • The team behind Tbilisi club Bassiani have announced the opening of a new venue, Spacehall. Spacehall will host a range of different events. Naturally, there'll be a house and techno programme, which gets underway this Friday, November 19th with Detroit's Omar-S. It will also host performance art, exhibitions, screenings and live bands, along with other cultural events yet to be announced. The space has been fitted with a Void soundsystem and, like the similarly sized Bassiani, is located underneath the Dinamo Arena sports stadium. Bassiani and Spacehall won't be open at the same time very often. Speaking to RA, organisers say the two areas will have different entrances and will be treated as separate clubs. "It’s been in planning since summer," booker Zviad Gelbakhiani says. "We wanted to offer more diversity to our audience. There's almost no availability of multifunctional spaces or concert halls in Tbilisi where you can have decent band playing."
