  • Glastonbury Festival may move to another UK site 100 miles away in 2019, says founder Michael Eavis. Speaking to the BBC, Eavis said the the new site, located "towards the Midlands," would be used "every five years or so" to give the land at the current Somerset site a rest. However, he added that he wouldn't want the festival to move there permanently, saying that "it would be a huge loss to Somerset." This isn't the first time Eavis has spoken about uprooting Glastonbury. In June, he confirmed he was in talks with Longleat Estate about a potential 2019 move, though apparently the owners of the Wiltshire safari park have since ruled it out. Glastonbury 2017 will run at its usual home on Worthy Farm from June 21st through 25th. The only act announced so far is Radiohead, who will headline the world-famous Pyramid Stage on Friday night. More names will be added in the new year.
