DVS1 is putting out a double-vinyl pack on HUSH—his first solo release since 2014—at the end of the month.
After a European tour last fall, Minneapolis techno stalwart Zak Khutoretsky is now commemorating 20 years of HUSH—the name for the parties he's been throwing since 1996, as well as his sound company and label—with HUSH 20. The two slabs of wax bring together six DVS1 cuts, with Khutoretsky also promising that there will be "a surprise inside." A digital version is set to follow in February. Phil Moffa did the mixdown on the release.
RA's Will Lynch caught up with Khutoretsky in Rotterdam a few months ago, during the HUSH anniversary tour, for an interview on The Hour highlighting the artist's work with massive "Wall Of Sound" speaker systems.
