- Terre Thaemlitz, Mark Fell and Mat Steel produced the 10-minute long house track under the name You Speak What I Feel.
You Speak What I Feel's My Good Friends Tell Me That is out on Boomkat Editions now.
The previously unheard group is made up of DJ Sprinkles, and SND, the experimental duo comprising Mark Fell and Mat Steel. The label says the 10-minute long, one-sided release was produced in 2002 and came out of a "mutual passion for the deepest, original NYC garage and house grooves."
Boomkat notes this style was more rarified at the time, "when house was firmly into its 'mnml' phase, and original garage was reserved to weekenders or sped-up, 2-stepped and hyper." It's the first time SND and Terre Thaemlitz's DJ Sprinkles project have appeared on record together, though Thaemlitz and Fell collaborated on the two-volume Fresh Insights EP series.
