  • Glastonbury is planning to host a new festival called Variety Bazaar. Founder Michael Eavis told Glastonbury FM today that the new festival's name will be "The Glastonbury Festival Team Presents The Variety Bazaar." It's possible it will happen in 2019, a year Eavis previously earmarked for a new event "100 miles away, towards the Midlands"—a move designed to give Glastonbury's current home a rest. Eavis's daughter, Emily, took to Twitter to state that Variety Bazaar would be a separate entity from Glastonbury. She wrote: "Glastonbury Festival will always be called Glastonbury and will remain at Worthy Farm."
Glastonbury Festival 2017 will take place from June 21st through 25th, with Radiohead confirmed as one of the headline acts.
