NSW leg of Babylon Festival postponed until 2018

- A dispute over availability of the festival site has meant the first NSW edition of the festival won't go ahead.
- Babylon Festival have announced that the NSW leg of their inaugural event will be postponed until 2017. Organisers released a statement explaining the situation:Due to legal proceedings between the owners of the New South Wales site and a third party regarding the availability of the site on the contracted festival dates, the site is unable to be utilised for the event and without sufficient time to find an alternate site, we have no choice but to postpone the 2017 NSW event. This has by no means anything to do with artists, permits or ticket sales. Due to these proceedings we can make no further comment at this time.Hardware Corp was due to host its first two festivals in March this year with a bill featuring Planetary Assault Systems, Carl Cox and Magda. The organisers have stressed that the Victorian leg will still be going ahead as planned, from March 10th to 13th. NSW ticket holders will be automatically refunded in full and will be eligible for discounted tickets to the Victorian event. A new series called FallOut! will be announced for NSW in the coming days, with much of the original Babylon lineup expected to be featured.
