  • A remix compilation of classic Planetary Assault Systems tracks is coming out in March. The Light Years Reworks features remixes of Planetary Assault Systems material released over the past two decades. It arrives after last year's two-part Planetary Funk 22 Light Years Series, which reissued original tracks with new remixes. The Light Years Reworks is a weightier affair, with 11 tracks spread over three vinyl discs. Function, Marcel Fengler, Lucy, Octave One, Slam and Steve Bicknell have been tapped to remix tracks such as "Twelve," "Temporary Suspension," "Booster" and "Diesel Drudge," which are among Slater's best-known tunes. Due out on March 10th, The Light Years Reworks will also get a digital release. It's Mote-Evolver's third full-length since it launched in 2006, following Shifted's Crossed Paths and Psyk's Time Foundation. Download a free James Ruskin remix of "Function 4" ahead of The Light Years Reworks's release.
