  • Samuel Rohrer will release a new album in April. Range Of Regularity, a six-track, double-pack LP, is the latest release from the Swiss percussionist, who is a member of the Ambiq trio and founder of Arjunamusic, which will handle the release. The record favours electronically treated acoustic sound sources over synthesis, with instrumentation including prepared drums and piano, and detuned zither. It'll be available on vinyl, CD and digital formats from April 21st. Select tracks from the LP will be remixed by two artists with a similar attitude towards sound and rhythm: Ricardo Villalobos and Burnt Friedman. The first of two EPs will feature remixes from Villalobos and Vilod, his project with Max Loderbauer, while the second includes Friedman's mix and another from Villalobos. Tracklisting and release dates for the remix EPs are still TBA. Watch a pair of trailers for the album.
