The Italian deep techno duo's first full vinyl release arrives in the spring.
It'll be the first full release on wax for Antonio Giova and Valerio Gomez de Ayala, a pair of Neapolitan DJs and producers with a deep, dubby approach to techno and a corresponding penchant for lengthy sessions on the decks. (Last weekend they played for almost eight hours at Basel club Elysia.) After contributing a track called "Emersione" to an RA-recommended Tikita compilation EP last year, they've readied four more for Sicut Erat, which is scheduled to arrive in May. Tikita has also called on the duo to put together a mix of prior and upcoming material from the label—further details for that one are still TBA.
Tikita's releases had been vinyl-only prior to 2017, but Sicut Erat, like French artist Amandra's recent Principe De Veracruz EP for the label, will be available on vinyl and—later on—digital formats. There's no audio online yet. For now, listen to last year's "Emersione."
