Beats In Space has lined up four EPs from Palmbomen II called Memories Of Cindy.
The Los Angeles-based producer, real name Kai Hugo, put out a self-titled album with Tim Sweeney's Beats In Space label back in 2015. Since then he's also released two collaborative EPs with fellow Dutchman Betonkurst—one for Pinkman and the other for 1080p. Now he'll return to BIS with over an album's worth of material that's split across four EP-length releases called the Memories Of Cindy series.
The label says it's meant as a eulogy to a woman named Cindy, though it's not clear whether this character is real or fictional, whose story is told through a "surreal, neo-noir lens." Each of the four EPs comes with "a unique, pre-tragedy polaroid portrait of Cindy taken by Kai Hugo."
The first three will come out individually, starting with part one tomorrow. The fourth EP will only be available as part of a box set that contains all of the 12-inches in the series.
