Ikonika has revealed details of her third album, Distractions.
The new record is due out on June 2nd through Sara Abdel-Hamid's long-time home, Hyperdub. It follows a series of remixes for artists like Dawn Richard in the Junior Boys, and the title is a reference to why the album took so long to complete after 2013's Aerotropolis. The label says the album presents "a wider set of styles" than usual for the London producer, and that it emphasizes her love of R&B and hip-hop "in all its forms, which has opened the door to bring in a selection of guests in a way she's not fully explored before."
Collaborators include Jessy Lanza, Night Slugs associate Sweyn Jupiter, MC Jammz and singer Andrea Galaxy.
