  • Defected has acquired the rights to the Nu Groove catalogue. Nu Groove was a New York label founded in 1988 mainly as a vehicle for house music by Rheji and Ronald Burrell, AKA The Burrell Brothers, who had a floundering R&B career at the time. Over the next five years the label would go on to release legendary music by the brothers, such as Aphrodisiac's "Your Love," in addition to records from the likes of Frankie Bones, Bas Noir and Masters At Work. Now, according to a statement on their website, UK label Defected is in control of the catalogue, and will soon start a reissue campaign of the Burrell Brothers' singles overseen by Luke Solomon. Listen to Aphrodisiac's "Your Love."
