  • A new label based in Copenhagen, called Kontakt Records, is launching soon. Kontakt, a label devoted to "exploring the universe of chord/dub techno," is the brainchild of Johnny Fredsgaard, a DJ who hosts the long-running TweakFM radio show. Its first release, the Elevation EP, sees Fredsgaard donning a new alias, Kvadrant, and collaborating with OHM, an Icelandic artist and member of the well-regarded Thule label family. The pair offer up three original tracks while another Thule-affiliated act from Iceland, Octal Industries (AKA Ruxpin and Den Nard Husher), appears with a remix. Initial copies of the record will come on limited-edition colored wax. Listen to samples for Elevation at decks.de. Tracklist A1 Ejer A2 Laki B1 Laki (Octal Industries Remix) B2 Yding Kontakt Records will release Elevation soon.
