- Warrior Loves lands as a double-vinyl pack today.
Sound Warrior Recordings has released a new compilation.
Warrior Loves is the first double-vinyl release from the New Jersey label, which is run by Jenifa Mayanja and Dakini9. The new compilation comprises nine tracks spread over two vinyl discs, with new tunes from Aurora Halal, Daniela La Luz and Lady Fingers, plus cofounder Jenifa Mayanja. Cherushii, one of the victims of Oakland's Ghost Ship fire, appears posthumously.
Founded in 2013, Sound Warrior "aims to balance the playing field for women in electronic music." It's released four 12-inches until now, the most recent being 2015's Warrior Tones. Its latest release will also be available digitally.
