Powell releases vinyl-only mini-album, New Beta Vol. 1

- Powell has released a mini-album called New Beta Vol. 1 via his label, Diagonal Records. As with most of Oscar Powell's catalogue, the album incorporates elements of noise, techno and post-punk. This time, Belgian new beat is an audible reference point, as is '90s drum & bass, the label says. New Beta Vol. 1 is a follow-up to last year's debut album, Sport, which came via XL Recordings. The new mini-LP coincides with Powell's June 15th Diagonal showcase at Elektrowerkz in London. He'll play that one alongside Yally and Russel Haswell. Listen to clips at Boomkat. Tracklist 01.
