- The rising UK producer will put out his third 12-inch next month.
Ploy will put out the Intrigued By The Drum EP via Timedance on July 14th.
It's the third EP to come from the artist formerly known as Samuel. His first 12-inch, Sala One Five, came via the venerable Hessle Audio. He followed that one up with the well-received Iron Lungs EP for Batu's label, joining a small roster that includes Laksa, Bruce and Batu himself. Ploy, real name Sam Smith, is now back on Timedance with a four-track EP that they describe as "relentlessly tribal." The label's bass-wise techno variants landed them a spot on RA's 2016 albums poll, despite rather limited output.
