  • Theo Parrish's Sound Signature imprint just slipped out a live mix from last year's Music Gallery Four party. Every year in Detroit, Theo Parrish throws a lowkey party called Music Gallery, usually featuring some artists from his label. In a note on how last May's party was shut down by police, Parrish said the goal of the Music Gallery is to "provide a powerful musical experience devoid of the distractions of phones, photos, drugs and who the DJ is." The 2016 event ran without interruption and featured acts like Hanna and Parrish himself trading off with Chicago producer Specter. Now, a recording from the night is available on both CD and cassette. The CD runs 80 minutes while the cassette goes for 99. Parrish also just released the third instalment in the Gentrified Love EP series, which has seen him collaborate with Waajeed, Duminie DePorres, John Douglas and Kitten Kuroi. Music Gallery Four is out now.
