- A limited five-LP box set gathers unheard remixes from Daniele Baldelli, Bjørn Torske and more.
Paul "Mudd" Murphy will celebrate ten years of his label, Claremont 56, with a box set, Claremont 56: 10 Years.
The digital version of the ten-year collection is already available, but a five-piece vinyl set is on the way, featuring unheard remixes of label output by the likes of Larry Heard, Ron Trent, Bjørn Torske and Daniele Baldelli (in tandem with frequent collaborator Marco Dionigi). The 20-track set charts the label's path from an outlet for Murphy and his friends to a Balearic house haven. Label associates Lexx, Phil Mison, Max Essa and Jex Opolis all contribute versions of Claremont records from the past decade, including music from Smith & Mudd, Paqua and Okinawa Delays. Smith & Mudd's collaboration with Krautrock legend Holger Czukay, Bison, gets three remixes, and the Can cofounder also contributes an exclusive solo track, "Music To Be Murdered By."
