- Abstract Nature, out today, features 12 versions of tracks off the Japanese producer's 2015 album, New Day.
Satoshi Tomiie has released a remix album called Abstract Nature on his Abstract Architecture label.
Tomiie, who has collaborated with Frankie Knuckles and Ryuichi Sakamoto over the course of his long career, put out his last album, New Day, in 2015. That LP was accompanied by vinyl samplers featuring remixes from the likes of Ron Trent, DJ Sneak, Brawther and Fred P. Many of those efforts feature on New Day, while Trent and DJ Sneak have revamped their respective takes on "Thursday, 2AM" and "0814" for the new set. Tomiie has also gathered new remixes from Pablo Mateo, Hugo LX and Perlon mainstay Maayan Nidam, and includes a couple of his own alternate versions as well.
