  • Afterlife's next release is Monument, a collaborative 12-inch from Tale Of Us and Vaal. The record is described as the "most anthemic offering yet" to come from this three-headed partnership, which previously resulted in a track called "Concor" on Life And Death about three and a half years ago. A press release says that vocals from Vaal, who turned in a single for Afterlife, Wander To Hell, last fall, and who's been a regular on the decks at Afterlife parties, are the centerpiece of the title track. An instrumental tune called "The Hangar" is on the flip. Monument lands on September 1st. Two weeks later, Afterlife will put out a record with remixes of "Monument" from Barnt—whose take is nearly 10 minutes long—and Stephan Bodzin. Both records will also come out on digital formats. These will be the sixth and seventh releases on Afterlife, which Tale Of Us launched in June of last year. (The duo also uses the name for their weekly summertime event series on Ibiza, taking place this year at Privilege.) We last heard from the label a couple months ago, by way of the Realm Of Consciousness Pt.II compilation. Listen to "The Hangar."
