- Melbourne New Year's Day festival Let Them Eat Cake has announced the lineup for its 2018 edition. This year's bill is topped by Âme's Frank Wiedemann, who will perform live. (The other half of the duo, Kristian Beyer, DJ'ed at the festival back in 2016.) Jon Hopkins and The Gaslamp Killer will return to Cake, while Jackmaster, Palms Trax, Jasper James, Apparat and Stephan Bodzin play the event for the first time. Homegrown names include Bella Sarris, Mall Grab, Fantastic Man, Mike Callander and Nite Fleit. The one-day festival, which is gearing up for its sixth outing, will once again be held in the lush parkland surrounds of Werribee Mansion, west of Melbourne's CBD. The party begins at 11 AM on January 1st and carries on until 10:30 PM. More local acts are yet to be announced. Watch Frank Wiedemann's RA Sessions film.
