  • The Bunker New York will release records from Atom™ and J.F. Burma later this month. Atom™, AKA prolific German producer and no-ware cofounder Uwe Schmidt, offers up three acid-laced tracks on Future Nights, measuring precisely three, six and nine minutes long, respectively. The two shorter tunes, "Future Nights" and "Acidsexmagic," are described as "fuzzy vocal techno," while the lengthy B-side "Chemistry" promises a "disorientingly stereophonic maelstrom." J.F. Burma is a new project from Jeremy Berman, who The Bunker considers a "longtime friend." While living in Brooklyn, Berman would dig for records at The Thing, which ended up inspiring him to build his own synths. He now resides in Los Angeles and has a daughter, making this EP for The Bunker, Nomadic, the first record he's made "under the influence of a toddler," according to the label. Its three tracks are products of Berman's late-night hardware jams. Back in 2013, he put out a record under the name Factory Aire that happened to come with an Atom™ remix. Listen to samples of both releases.
