  • Safe Trip has shared details of its next two releases. Next up on Young Marco's label is an EP from fellow Dutchman Darling, called JPS. He's a new name for the label, though he offered up a remix on the Pregnant / Star Butchers EP from Awanto 3 on Dekmantel. Safe Trip describes the six-track collection of house, funk and electro as "intergalactic, loved-up, dreamy, otherworldly and soothing." Safe Trip's sixth release, CZ-5000 Sounds & Sequences, is a collection of archival recordings by Satoshi & Makoto, Japanese twins who record with the Casio synth of the same name. Young Marco discovered them via YouTube videos they made demonstrating the synth's capabilities, and then culled an album's worth of music from over 20 CDs and folders they sent over. Most of the material is from the '90s, the label says, recorded "under the influence of early Japanese techno, The Orb, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Kraftwerk and 'lots of soul.'" Every melody, drum beat and musical phrase comes from the Casio CZ-5000. Listen to clips of JPS here and CZ-5000 Sounds & Sequences here.
