  • Radio Slave has enlisted a wide-ranging group of artists for remixes of his hit 2008 track "Grindhouse." Matt Edwards' Rekids label will put out four records' worth of "Grindhouse" remixes over a six-month period. "After 10 years it seems right to revisit the track and also add some new versions from some of my favorite techno producers," he says. First up is a 12-inch with two remixes from Len Faki that's due out in October. Slam, Lady Starlight, Vatican Shadow, Special Request, Markus Suckut and Obscure Shape & SHDW will also contribute reworks in the coming months. "Grindhouse Tool," as it was originally titled, measured 11 minutes in length and first surfaced as part of Edwards' No Sleep series of records. Artists like Dubfire and Terence Fixmer have previously turned in remixes. Edwards' debut album as Radio Slave, Feel The Same, came out just a few days ago. Its title track was the B-side for a Radio Slave 12-inch from earlier this year that counted as Rekids' landmark 100th release. Listen to the original "Grindhouse Tool."
