  • Luke Slater, Steve Bicknell and Function (AKA Dave Sumner) are kicking off their LSD project with an EP called Process. The 12-inch is the first music we've seen from the techno trio, though the project dates back as far as 2016, when they performed together at Berghain in Berlin. Ostgut Ton calls their approach to techno "lysergic machine music," adding that it "accentuates hallucinatory and shapeshifting sonic elements." Slater, Bicknell and Sumner will mark the release of Process with two live sets—one at Reaktor ADE in Amsterdam on October 22nd, and another at Berghain on New Year's Day 2018. The connection between the three producers goes back much further than 2016. Bicknell and Slater have played alongside and remixed each other since the '90s, while Sumner helped produce some of Slater's L.B. Dub Corp material in recent years. Function also recently announced the second part of his Recompiled retrospective on Ostgut Ton sub-label, A-TON. Listen to clips of Process.
    Tracklist 01. Process 1 02. Process 2 03. Process 3 Ostgut Ton will release Process on November 17th, 2017.
