Angel-Ho's next LP, Red Devil, is due out next month.
The nine-track album, which is mixed into two continuous recordings, balances textural experiments with abstract club rhythms. The Cape Town avant-garde producer (and co-founder of NON Worldwide) calls it an "autobiographical mix," one that articulates the "experiences queer and trans people encounter daily, be it personal demons to greeting violence in public—to the reasoning of joy among the chaos." It's a follow-up to last year's Emancipation EP, also for NON, and before that, the Ascension EP for Rabit's label, Halcyon Veil.
