- Psychic TV's upcoming tour has been postponed while she undergoes treatment.
Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV cofounder Genesis Breyer P-Orridge has been diagnosed with leukemia.
A Facebook post from P-Orridge states that her condition has worsened this week and that she will begin treatment this coming Monday, October 23rd for chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, which is a cancer of the cells that make blood in bone marrow.
Her band Psychic TV has postponed its upcoming tour. "We are heartbroken to have seen the insane amount of work Matski and Edley have put in to set all this up only to have my old 67-year body say it needs a rest," she said. "We've been touring for about 50 years now. It's the first time we have had to do this. We hope it will not be necessary again."
