- The Detroit house producer is back on FIT Sound for the new 12-inch.
Andrés will release another EP as A Drummer From Detroit, Drums #2, on Fit Sound next month.
The Motor City house staple put out Drums #1 on Aaron "Fit" Siegel's label back in 2011. The follow-up, a three-track 12-inch, is full of the sample-heavy hip-hop-meets-house hybrids we've come to expect from Humberto Hernandez. Andrés has been relatively quiet on the release front this year, though an LP for Moodymann's Mahogani Music has long been in the works.
Thus far this year he has limited his output to remixes (including a version of Funkadelic's "Music For My Mother" off the recent Reworked By Detroiters compilation) and a DJ Dez 7-inch for Japanese label Root Down Records.
