The conference's second edition will include sets from Mr. Ties and patten plus an RA-hosted panel.
The full schedule for this year's Tokyo Dance Music Event has been announced.
After making its debut on the global conference circuit last year, TDME is returning this week for another three days of workshops, talks and panels as well as performances and parties around Shibuya.
The daytime programme, which includes the already-announcedPlanets installation from Jeff Mills, will see dozens of industry leaders from Japan and abroad tackling topics like the relationship between Japan and India's scenes, dance music and gaming and the state of the domestic night-time economy following the repeal of the fueiho no-dancing laws. RA will also be hosting a panel titled "Festivals and their relationship with dance music culture in Japan" with our own Tobias Burgers, Rainbow Disco Club organiser Masahiro Tsuchiya and Labyrinth's SO.
A range of club shows will run in conjunction with the daytime events. On December 1st, Disko Klubb will host Mr. Ties at Vent alongside a handful of locals, while Mute Records founder Daniel Miller headlines at WOMB. Warp staple patten leads a night of live electronics at Circus Tokyo, which also features local experimentalist Sapphire Slows. David Mancuso understudy Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy will spin alongside DJ Nori at Contact on December 2nd.
The full programme is available at the TDME website.
