An album from Jan Schulte and Niklas Wandt, titled Instrumentalmusik Von Der Mitte Der World, is on the way via Growing Bin Records.
Instrumentalmusik Von Der Mitte Der World has Schulte, a resident at Düsseldorf's Salon Des Amateurs and "tropical drums" obsessive also known as Bufiman, assuming his Wolf Müller moniker as he collaborates with fellow German musician Wandt on what press notes (written by Patrick Ryder, of Manchester's Piccadilly Records shop) call "a supernatural mission into the heart of the rhythm."
The vinyl double-pack, whose 12 tracks range from one to over 12 minutes in length, was made with the help of a handful of guest contributors and a wide array of instruments, including Roland and Akai electronic hardware and acoustic music-makers like the tabla, djembe, kalimba and cowbell, just to name a few.
We're told Schulte and Wandt "will make you swing your pants like a Crash Bandicoot victory dance" when the album sees release in February.
Schulte drew praise last year for curating the Tropical Drums Of Deutschland compilation on Music For Dreams.
