Melliflow, the Berlin label run by Vera and Alexandra, will launch a limited-edition vinyl series called The Melliflows.
Since its start 18 months ago, Melliflow has put out eight records of spacey, minimal-leaning dance music from artists like Spacetravel and DJ Nnamreg (AKA Binh). If its first move is any indicator, the Melliflows will present similar sounds, but with releases that follow a sort of serial format, like that of a television program.
The series begins with Season 1 Episode 1: Here And Now, which is described as "starring" Fede Lijtmaer, or Fede Lijt. The Uruguayan DJ and producer, who runs his own label, El Milagro Records, put together four tracks for a release that's due to arrive at the end of the month. Its artwork comes courtesy of Anastasia Chulanova, who handles visuals for the rest of Melliflow's output.
