  • Samuel Kerridge will score a stage adaptation of a 1986 novel by the American feminist writer Kathy Acker. NTGent will host the performance of Don Quixote, Which Was A Dream, which "tells the story of a woman who, after an abortion, choses to pull back from society." Dealing with themes of gender and nuclear disarmament, it's been translated into a stage production called To Name Herstory that tries to "articulate subjectivity." It premieres on January 27th, with more shows scheduled for the following weeks. Born in 1944, Kathy Acker was an experimental novelist active throughout the '70s and '80s. Her work also includes essays, plays and poetry.
