  • US ambient and new age icon Steve Roach is celebrating the 30-year anniversary of his 1988 album Dreamtime Return with a set of remastered reissues. Stretching past two hours in length, Dreamtime Return is a classic record that's often praised as Roach's masterpiece. According to a Facebook post this week, he's now set to re-release double-disc CD and vinyl editions, along with a "very limited" tape run, to match the original release lineup. The CD edition is expected in March, with the vinyl and tape coming in early May. We're also told Roach is "working on a new-dreaming of a few select pieces" from the album, which will be "all-new creations drawing from the spirit of the original." Roach has produced or collaborated on more than 100 full-length releases in a career that stretches back to the early '80s. His LP Spiral Revelation was nominated for a 2017 Grammy for Best New Age Album. Listen to Dreamtime Return's opening track, "Towards The Dream."
