Hospital Productions has four new releases lined up.
Fresh off celebrating its 20th anniversary last year, Dominick Fernow's label is kicking into gear for the first few months of 2018. Most notably, Hospital is reissuing Merzbow's rare and sought-after Noisembryo album, which originally came out in 1994 on the Swedish label Releasing Eskimo. The LP is notable not only for the high prices it fetches these days, but for the use of Merzbow's own vocals, and it has since become one of the most well-known records in his catalogue. (It's also famous for being the CD that the Releasing Eskimo label owner rigged his old car into playing constantly, as a protest against police trying to make him move the car.)
In addition to the Merzbow reissue, Hospital will press a vinyl version of a tape that was originally released as a bonus cassette with Fernow's most recent Prurient album, Rainbow Mirror. That one, credited to Prurient and Hanged Mans Orgasm, features music from Fernow in collaboration with Skin Crime's Patrick O'Neal and Alberich's Kris Lapke.
A double-CD from Berlin techno artist Liziuz called Geschichten Des Lebens, and a double-LP from mysterious noise project Geography Of Hell—which focuses on manmade disasters, in this case the dropping of the atomic bombs on Japan—are also in the offing.
All four releases hit stores on March 23rd, though some may be available earlier via the Hospital website.
