  • Hayden Payne, AKA Phase Fatale, is launching a new label called BITE. BITE, which Payne will run alongside Florian Engerling, will take an experimental approach to techno, focusing on "artists who operate beyond the borders of the common preconceptions of techno," according to the press release. The label will also focus on records from brand new artists as well as new projects from established producers. The first record on the Berlin-based label is a collaboration between Payne, an American who lives in Berlin, and Los Angeles producer Silent Servant. The two have played live together a few times previously, and the label says that Confess, a three-track EP, is a studio document of those performances. Listen to "Plastic Motion."
