  • Brock Van Wey, the US ambient artist best known as bvdub, will put out an album from his rarely seen Earth House Hold project next month on A Strangely Isolated Place. Earth House Hold is the house-leaning alias that Van Wey has used on only a handful of releases, chief among them 2012's When Love Lived LP and 2013's See Through You 12-inch—the latter being the project's last appearance on wax. The new album, Never Forget Us, grew out of the producer's connection with A Strangely Isolated Place founder Ryan Griffin. The two had been talking for years about sorting out a release from Van Wey. Finally, as he said in an interview with the ASIP blog last November, "... I emailed [Griffin] out of the blue and said it was time for us to do something for ASIP, and waited until he already agreed to ambush him with the fact it was an Earth House Hold album." Never Forget Us will come on double-vinyl with a gatefold sleeve, in limited editions on blue and standard black wax, and on digital formats. It'll follow the release of Van Wey's 30th bvdub LP, A Different Definition Of Love, on Dronarivm later this month. Watch a video for album track "Only Suns Rise."
